Björk-ö Project is a space dedicated to artistic creation and critical reflection, bringing together at, photography, and ideas to explore the tensions and fractures of the contemporary world.
Inspired by the Swedish island of Björkö — the island of birch trees — the project stems from observing nature as a reflection of consciousness. From this starting point, we build a bridge between:
• Image and thought
• The visible and the invisible
• Technique and introspection
We create experiences and works that invite us to pause, observe, and reflect.

Synopsis
The book 563: Walter Benjamin & the Aesthetics of Collapse offers a sensitive journey in which text and image intertwine to form a fragmentary constellation at the intersection of history and the present. Constructed from fragments, the book brings writing and photography into dialogue through a dynamic in which neither can be isolated without altering the reading experience.
Drawing on the thought of Walter Benjamin, 563 explores the notions of exile, memory, and ruin. It takes Portbou as its point of departure—a place of passage and rupture, marked by Benjamin’s death and imbued with a memory that is both intimate and historical.
Through the gaze of photographer Patricio Salinas A., the landscape becomes a silent witness to the fractures of the past and the uncertainties of the present. Far from merely illustrating the text, the images act as surfaces of remembrance, where absence, traces, and disappearance emerge.
In this way, 563 establishes itself as a hybrid work in which aesthetics becomes a critical tool for thinking about collapse, and where the intertwining of seeing and reading opens up a space for reflection on exile, memory, and the remnants of the contemporary world.
